Farano Center for Children
The Farano Center provides trauma-informed congregate care services for children between the age of birth and 18. We specialize in serving young people who have a range of developmental, behavioral & mental health issues that cannot be managed in a home setting.
Many of these children have also been a victim of parental abuse and neglect and have been severely traumatized. We also provide residential respite services and emergency placement for children who have been removed from their parent/caretaker's care. Our goal is to assist children in developing skills to cope with life stressors in a safe way. We further aim to assist families to safely manage their child’s challenging behaviors and/or address family concerns that have led to placement. All goals are geared toward developing a safe and stable permanency plan (which could include return to parent, foster home or an adoption plan).
